Wallach 5-for-6 for Dublin Wednesday, July 17th , 2080 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Rodrigo Wallach, it came around today. The 33-year-old first baseman scattered hits all over Cloverleaf Coliseum to pace the 5-4 Dublin Rebels victory over the Lunar Base Space Rangers. Lunar Base skipper told reporters in the press room that "Wallach deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Wallach hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Rodrigo Wallach doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and struck out in the 12th. This season, Wallach is batting .240 with 59 hits and no home runs. He has scored 29 times and has 21 runs batted in. View Boxscore View Game Log Watch Highlights |
