Traveler on Fire: 5-for-6 for Providence Wednesday, July 24th , 2080 Even as a kid, Grayle Traveler said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Cloverleaf Coliseum, Traveler showed how well he learned that lesson. The 30-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Providence Crabs, helping his team knock off the Dublin Rebels by a score of 11-4. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." Grayle Traveler struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Traveler is currently batting .350 with 11 home runs, 57 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 105 hits in 300 at-bats. View Boxscore View Game Log Watch Highlights |
