Scorpions Dominate, Sweep Conference Finals Monday, September 29th , 2070 Lawn Gnomes said he expected the Conference Finals to be "a battle from start to finish." In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Death Valley Scorpions encountered little resistance in sweeping the Nashville Stars, to advance to the World Series. "It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Gnomes. Death Valley won the final game by a 3-0 count and were led in the series by Gnomes, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .333 with 3 home runs. He also drove in 5 RBI and scored 4 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Finals finishes.
