Summers 5-for-5 Against California Thursday, June 13th , 2069 Beryl Summers exploded for a barrage of base hits today at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons. The Chicago right fielder had a field day in the 9-8 triumph over the California Firehawks, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Summers must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Beryl Summers singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th. Summers is batting .298 with 2 home runs and 17 RBIs this season.
