Jahns kept the Hepcats confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Jahns," Kansas City manager said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 20-year-old right-hander had 1 walk and 2 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Jahns said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." Jahns has posted a 5-5 record for the year with a 4.99 ERA.
