5-Hit Blitz by Louisville's Griffin
Saturday, May 7th , 2067
The Louisville Lemurs stopped the Chicago Kingpins by a score of 10-9 at Kenny Payne Appreciation Stadium today, with the lion's share of the credit going to second baseman Robin Griffin. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Griffin said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Griffin did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Kingpins.
"Not much that I can say," offered Chicago manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Robin Griffin singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, walked in the 9th, grounded out in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
Thus far this season in 14 games Griffin is batting .368 with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 21 hits in 57 at-bats.
