Thompson Raps Puerto Rico for 5 Hits Tuesday, June 7th , 2067 Even as a kid, Jazzy Thompson said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium today, Thompson showed how well he learned that lesson. The 23-year-old left fielder had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Kansas City Hepcats, helping his team knock off the Puerto Rico Ranas by a score of 8-3. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." Jazzy Thompson singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
