Frog Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Saturday, June 23rd , 2068
After his 5-hit effort at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House was tarnished by Puerto Rico's 7-6 loss to the Brew City Bears, second baseman Lumosity Frog told BNN beat writers it was "a missed opportunity for a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "I would have been happy to stop there if it meant we got a win."
He didn't get the win, but the 26-year-old had a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Bears.
"His swing is getting there," said Ranas skipper after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Lumosity did that to perfection today and we wasted it."
Lumosity Frog hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mac John in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Bryce Wheeler in the 9th and singled in the 12th.
This year Frog has socked 53 hits in 175 at-bats for a .303 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .324 pace and his totals also include 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
