Keeso Socks It to Firehawks, Cracks 5 Hits
Wednesday, August 30th , 2073
Today at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons, Jared Keeso put on an impressive display.
The Brew City Bears right fielder tagged California pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on the spree and lost the game to the California Firehawks by the score of 10-8.
"The loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it," Keeso said. "5-for-6 ain't bad in any league."
Despite the terrific performance, the Bears manager was unwilling to offer the right fielder much praise, saying the "whole roster" is held accountable for losses.
"Jared told me 'Coach, I had 5 hits' and I said 'Well that's great, but it looks like we needed one more from you,'" manager said.
Jared Keeso grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th and doubled in the 12th.
On the season, Keeso is batting .265 with 9 home runs and 42 RBIs. He has played in 96 games.
