Murphy Goes 5-for-6 Against Chicago
Tuesday, August 25th , 2076
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Florida's Nathan Murphy made it happen against the Kingpins. Everything came together at the plate for the 21-year-old second baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Flamingos triumph, 7-5, at Florida Man Park.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Murphy said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Nathan Murphy hit a solo-shot off Hunter Kratky in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Posting a .300 batting average to date, Murphy has 9 home runs and 48 RBIs.
