Barnum Bashes 5 Base Hits Wednesday, June 1st , 2078 It was a sensational day at the plate for D.B. Barnum as he led the charge to a nifty 7-4 win over the Firehawks. The Anchorage catcher was pure misery for the California pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Barnum put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Firehawks, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." D.B. Barnum hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off David Sears in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
