Jones Rips Anchorage for 5 Hits Monday, June 20th , 2078 It was a sensational day at the plate for Showtime Jones as he led the charge to a nifty 5-4 win over the Wheelers. The Chicago left fielder was pure misery for the Anchorage pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Jones put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Wheelers, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Showtime Jones singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Joe Buckureself in the 8th, doubled in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
