Florida Wins First Round Wednesday, September 20th , 2079 It's a sweet sweep for the Florida Flamingos and they have won the First Round. The California Firehawks were not able to keep pace with the Flamingos and dropped the series in short order, losing, 5-0, in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said California manager . It's now on to the Semi-FInals for Florida after their 3-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was shortstop Dan Thunder, who was named MVP. For the series, Thunder hit .385 with a .467 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 5 runs.
