Swift Steeds Prevail, as First Round Goes to the Wire Tuesday, September 23rd , 2070 The State College Swift Steeds and Amarillo Armadillos didn't hold back anything in the First Round, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the Semi-FInals. State College won the final game by a score of 4-2 at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod and that concluded the series, 3-2. "Relief is the biggest thing," State College shortstop Diego Ramieriez said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Amarillo deserves credit for the hard fight." Ramieriez paced the State College offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .440 with a .462 on-base percentage, 2 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 2 runs.
