Behind an impressive start by Aoife Carter, Brew City beat Anchorage, 12-1. The winning pitcher was Carter, now 9-9. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 5. The Bears now have a record of 48-37 with the win over Anchorage.

Bobs Bigboy had a big bases-clearing double for the Bears in the top of the second inning. With Brew City leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Smoki Zazaki and swatted a double to center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bears ahead, 5-0.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Carter said.
