Toros first baseman Griffin Stone put his stamp on his team's 12-9 win over the Death Valley Scorpions. Stone was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for Cancun in the contest. Adeline King was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Mann Person. With the loss, Death Valley falls to 0-3.

With Cancun leading 4-3 in the bottom of the third, Stone batted against Death Valley pitcher Mann Person. Stone hit a knuckle curve to left-center for a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Toros on top, 6-3.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Stone told the Cancun News.
